I am a E3A Certified Level One Equine Assisted Learning and Personal Development Facilitator. I have my degree in Sociology/Psychology from Virginia Tech. I am a mother of three, and a grandmother to four beautiful granddaughters. I have been a real estate agent for 15 years. I am also a lifelong horsewoman and enjoy Cowboy Mounted Shooting, competing with my Red Paint Quarter horse, MoonPie. He is my Co-Facilitator.
I discovered the amazing positive influence of horses as a young girl. Through my difficult teenage years, in both my personal and family relationships, I found that my time with my horse became a place of solace and comfort. No matter what I was experiencing, just being in the barn caring for him made whatever was going on much easier to deal with. There is something about their calm eye, warmth and way of being that fills you with peace and insight into what is truly important. Throughout my life; marriage, raising three children, divorce, career, breast cancer and aging, horses have been a constant source of peace. Always helping me to rediscover what is important in my life’s journey.
As an Equine Assisted Learning and Personal Development Facilitator, I feel so honored to share with others the beneficial and emotionally gratifying experience that horses provide. Find your inner strength and why through their calm wisdom and presence. It is quite simple and yet so compelling.
I look forward to positively impacting the lives of others and helping them in chaos to find calm through horses.
